He was great company always, and a pleasure to spend time with; when I volunteered on the Kerry pilgrimage to Lourdes, from 2012–2015. I'm glad we kept in touch over the following years, and while I might only manage to visit him once a year; we always picked up from where we left off, and had a good chat and cup of tea. His love and enthusiasm for Lourdes as a place of pilgrimage and coming together — endeared him to many when he went there. Rest in heavenly peace David.

David - always so friendly, welcoming, supportive and caring - forever a True Gentleman and Friend Supreme to many with a wonderful smile radiating great goodness, kindness, an inspiring strong Faith, humour, wit and sincerity...for whom Family was all-important. Many the very interesting chats we had as we travelled on numerous pilgrimages to Knock Shrine on the days when Ireland's largest pilgrimage to Knock used to leave Millstreet by train with buses in Claremorris. David also truly enjoyed our annual Christmas Party organised by the Cork North West Branch of MS Ireland. He has left a legacy of precious memories. May the gentle Soul of David rest in peace having enriched the lives of All in a wonderful manner. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
