David & Family, my condolences for the loss of your Dad. May he rest in peace
David was one of the most remarkable men I have known. Firstly, he was always very happy and cheerful. I never saw him in bad form. His outlook on life was extremely positive.
Secondly, old age didn’t seem to catch up with David. He worked well into his nineties. He also turned up at events at Castleknock College and at past pupil get-togethers until he was nearly 100. And he was always interested and enthusiastic about what was going on.
Thirdly, he was always very supportive of all that we were doing at Castleknock College, for which I am very grateful.
So, it was with great sadness that I heard of David’s death. I would like to pass on my condolences to all of his family and to his son David, in particular.
We will never see his likes again.

Cathy Anne, David and Paul. Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your Dad. Davy and Kevin were lifelong friends and for them to leave us on the same day is amazing. Kevin often reminisced about how when he was in practice in Carrickmacross, his first port of call when he returned to Dublin would be the Bell house on Palmerston Road where Mrs. Bell always had an apple tart waiting for him. We had great times in Hermitage Golf Club before we were all married. There was always a sing song and Davy always sang "The Pictures that Hang on the Wall". We are truly sorry that your Dad has left but take comfort in knowing that they are in Heaven together probably having a jar and sing song. Joan, John, Steph, Paul, Michael, Colette and Jane.

My sincere sympathies to the Bell family on David’s passing. He was so popular to us kids at the time in Knock. David was always on for a chat on any subject and I always gave him a shout out at the Aviva where he sat a few rows in front of me. He might meet up with Mannix Mc Kenna up there, they got on great ! May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the Bell family on David's passing. He was a colleague and friend to me and also Captain of the Solicitors Golfing Society in1982. May he rest in peace.
On reading the initial Condolences so far, they are a testament to the very special person that David was. Met him first via Mannix during our early days in the PPU and in some delightful way, it always felt like an honour and privilege to meet David when subsequently we'd have the odd chat. News of his passing brings definite moments of reflection and appreciation for his great life. My condolence to all the Family.
Sincere condolences on the passing of this lovely man. Very fondly remembered. R.I.P.
