On behalf of The Conroy Family we would like to thank everyone who has shown support to our family in the last few weeks. We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support and kindness from family, friends and neighbours. We will be eternally grateful to everyone who took the time to offer condolences and share happy memories of David. David touched the lives of many and his memory will live on forever in our hearts. It's absolutely tragic, a terrible heart wrenching loss for his family, friends and the whole community. Everyone in the area is devastated. So so awful. Keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers.

His life was a blessing,
His memory a treasure,
He is loved beyond words,
And missed beyond measure.
Always remember that you have a special angel in heaven guiding and protecting you and your beautiful family with a peace and a strength beyond all understanding.

Very sorry to hear about the sudden and tragic passing of Dave. His legacy will carry on for generations to come. Dave's dedicaton to his community and his selfless time he gave up to coach all the young people he helped mould into what they are and what they will be in the future. It wasn't just about football it was about setting an example for all of us to follow in life. Dave will be remembered fondly by all who live around East Meath for a very long time. I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dave, He will be greatly missed, not just by his family, friends and clubs but everyone who ever had the pleasure of chatting with him for even a few minutes because that’s all it takes for you to know that Dave was one of the good ones

He was a great coach who always tried to do his best for his team and club and was greatly respected, admired and loved by all the kids he’s coached

And to his family I know it's something that will take a very long time to process and never really get over, just know that he is always looking down on You's and is So proud of you all.

I was fortunate enough to meet Dave this year as part of a project with the Laytown Utd football team. His dedication and love for that team and the club were an absolute inspiration. He was so dedicated to the lads and their well-being. His openness and willingness to bring new skills and techniques was a typical example of his love and dedication to the sport and his team. His death has devastated the community and will leave a huge hole in our lives and the lives of hundreds of families.
I will never forget Dave and will remember him and all his family in my prayers forever.

I never met Dave or his family, but I was so sorry to hear the terrible news of his passing. By all accounts he was a wonderful person. Condolences to his wife, children and all his family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. God Bless you all.🙏
