As a former Chanel Road resident there was always a great atmosphere between the Road Avenue and Ardlea

So sad to hear the news of Dave's passing. He was such a lovely, friendly and cheerful guy who always had time for a chat. I have very fond memories of him on Chanel Avenue...it was a great little community. My sincere condolences to his partner Ann and to Phil, Paddy, Mary, Ann and extended family and friends. Very sad to hear of the passing of a great childhood and indeed teenage friend, David. My sincere condolences to his partner Ann and the Fanning family. David was the eldest of our group of friends who grew up on Chanel Avenue and was a reliable pathfinder to all of us. So many adventures and David was at the center of them, always good humoured and pleasant to be with. May he rest in peace.

So saddened to hear about the passing of Dave. My deepest sympathies to his partner Ann, his brother Paddy and his sisters Phil, Ann, Mary extended family and friends. I have fond memories of Dave when we were teenagers growing up on Chanel Avenue. He was one of the first on the road to get a car and he would regularly have requests from us for lifts to the shops to which he was more than willing to provide. Innocent times.
