Dave was one of the group managing the affairs of Kenilworth Bowling Club when I joined at the turn of the century. He made many improvements to the clubhouse and encouraged us all to raise our game too. I enjoyed trips to the north for games in his low flying car. After his move to France he maintained regular contact and was always delightful company. He is well remembered in Kenilworth.
Very sad to hear of Dave's passing. He was a bright engaging and delightful man. My sympathy to everyone grieving. I hope that in time memories of happier times will ease your sadness.
To Aoife and family,

All my love and heartfelt condolences to Aoife, Ciara, Niamh and the whole extended family at this time.
Very sad to hear about Dave's passing which I learned about just recently from Anthony Bolger and Michael Grehan. Though I knew that he hadn't been well the news of his passing came as quite a shock and saddened me very much. I remember him well from the time we were in the same class at Terenure. I remember him as a really nice guy, one of the nicest guys in our class. I hadn't seen him since the time we were both at UCD. May God comfort his family at this sad time.
Susan, my condolences on the recent death of your brother David. Doreen just informed me today, August 11/24
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of David. David was a true gentleman. The calm dignity he demonstrated in Terenure College especially on hearing of his grandmother’s passing was typical of the respect he showed to everyone he met. David’s kindness, inclusivity and wit will be sorely missed.
To Stephanie and all the Morrin family. I was very sorry to hear about Dave. Outside of my family, he was the person I'd known the longest - he struck up conversation at the College entrance exam when I was 11 and he a year older. He was the same then as always - outgoing, friendly and always engaging.
Deepest sympathy to Moira and all the Morrin girls on the untimely passing of their brother David. May he rest in peace.

Dave will be missed by so many for his kindness, generosity, thoughtful interest in the lives of others, dry but quirky sense of humour. He will be remembered with affection.
My sincere condolences to Stephanie and all of the Morrin Family. I was truely saddened to hear of David’s passing.
We first met as 13 year old boys at Terenure Boarding College and after 5 years parted as young men. When I think of “Charlie” thoughtful is a word that springs to mind. Captain of our rugby team and a true leader- both on and off the field.
I later moved to Australia and unfortunately we did not meet again until 35 years later, when eight old school friends spent a crazy 5 days in County Mayo, which was like David, truely unforgettable.
Dave was indeed a quiet gentleman and a very dear friend.

Like all, I remember him as a gentle, quiet and kind soul to meet and a powerful leader on a rugby pitch.

Dave was the ultimate gentleman, and when required a great teammate and warrior, taken too soon.
Always enjoyed any time I spent with him, he will remain etched pleasantly in my mind.

Very sad news. I remember him as a softly spoken, good humoured guy who worked I think with Lennox Chemicals at one stage. May he rest in peace.
A few years ago, Maeve & I were looking at buying a place in South of France. He was so helpful with info & suggestions & time for a chat. As we all remember, he was a lovely guy, a gentleman. Lord have mercy on his soul.
Shocked, Dave was the most genuine guy you could ever meet. He played number 8 in such a way as he took the pressure off his back row mates. I loved his laid back persona ,rest easy Dave
Every time I see Caelan Dorris play I am reminded of Dave - tough as nails in combat and gentle as a lamb in company. Dave was a neighbour of ours in Terenure Park - you could not be in more pleasant company. A vital cog has just left the wheel of life. - May he Rest in Peace!

I first met David on his first day at Terenure College in September 1962. He was in the next bed to me in the dorm at Terenure all those years ago and that’s when our friendship began. He was a good student & a lovely funny guy with a very dry sense of humour, a fine athlete & an outstanding rugby player. Subsequently we met at each other’s homes, at the Bowling Club, at Past Pupils games in Lakelands & at rugby internationals and would have a good laugh with so many of our fellow Past Pupils.
Angie and I remember visiting David and Stephanie in La Bergerie in France about 14 years ago.
They were kind, welcoming and entertaining hosts. They gave us a guided tour of the region near where they lived.
We will always remember him as a kind, gentle man & a dear friend with a heart of gold.
Our condolences and blessings to Stephanie and all David’s family.
A new star is shining in heaven. May he rest in peace.

David was a very special guy — he minded a few of us when as 15 yr olds we played on the SCT with him as captain— he was always so gentle - off the pitch— and had a super smile and twinkle in the eye— Years later I met you both as patients in my practice and it always brightened my day when I saw you had an appointment to see me.
I don’t have any magic words of consolation but I send you my sincere sympathy and a hug

We met Dave a few months after we moved to Cesseras in 2018. He was invariably kind, always extending a warm handshake whenever we encountered him. Blessed with a sharp wit and a fine sense of humor, he was good company. A wonderful and unique personality, he has left his Cesseras friends with fond memories. Heartfelt condolences to Stephanie and Dave’s family on this tremendous loss.
