It was with great sadness that I learned of Dave's death.
We were primary school mates and football teamates in times past.
A thorough, humble and engaging a gentleman as one could find.
It would do your heart good to meet him at matches and events over the years.
He had a great hearty laugh and a store of common sense knowledge.
