Sorry to hear that Davy has passed away. I had some great chats with him in the last few years when I met him on High Street. Sincere condolences to all the Holohan family, especially Mags and Shauna. RIP Davy.

It was with shock and deep sadness that I learned of Davey's sudden and unexpected death. My heart goes out to all his brothers and sisters Mary Margaret Kathleen Jim Paddy Johnny and Martin. I have very fond memories of calling over to read comics n shoot the breeze, thinking of you all at this sad time.

I live away from Kilkenny but when home and if I ran into Davy on the town he would always salute me and remember me which was lovely.

I have know Davy over 50 years since 1975 when we attended the National College of Art together. I published a book of his drawimgs covering over 30 exhibitions he had in Kilkenny. He also published a book of drawings of poems with my brother Jim. He was one of Irelands great figurative draughtsmen. Very few captured the human condition like Davy and the marganalised in our society. He lived his life for art.. and will be sadly missed my his old friends and a wider circle in Kilkenny and Dublin. May the angels greet you and your spirit and memorys remain fondly with us.Slan leat old friend.
