Davy really was a gentle soul. We really looked forward to his visits when we lived on the Glenamuck road and he brought meat for us and bones for our dogs. He was always full of cheer and ready for a good chat. May he RIP

I'm so heartbroken to hear the saddest news about Davey. He was an absolute gentleman who I had the privilege of knowing for the last 15years. Always a hello when I was delivering to the shop. He will be forever missed. R.I.P. Davey .

Fondest and Happy Memories as I went about my buisness shooting photograpic creations abd Davy on his long day in his butchery trade - when I became an OAP he welcomed me with open arms and in the Step Inn we reflected on life-A Sincere and Honest Gentleman - we miss him ! deepest sympathy to all his caring and loving family

Davy held court in his Kingdom in Kennedy's. He was one of those people about whom I used say to myself; why can't I be happy and easygoing like him?

I was very sad to hear about Davy's passing. A man you'd always hear before you'd see. He was always cracking a joke or laughing. From the time we were kids going in to see him behind the counter in Kennedy's shop to having him pop in for a cup of tea in more recent years. He's been a constant in people's lives around Stepaside and he's a huge loss to many in the area. RIP Davy
