It is with regret that the Sad News of David (Davy) Ryan Passing has reached me. Davy was a DEDICATED Farmer and a Diligent Worker and a Great Community Man. I knew Davy from Our School Days in the Old School in Puckane 1948 to 1952. His Beloved Sister Nora was in My Class and My Late Brother , Billy, was a Desk Mate of Davy. School in those days was a Far Cry to what it is today. Getting 6 'of the Best' with a Freshly Cut Privet "Wattle" was a normal thing whether you had "Brains" or not. Davy was a Good Learner as were most of us of that time and when some of us went on to Secondary School , Davy Joined his Beloved Dad in Farming Practice. We met many times over the years and always had a good chat. He was a regular attender at Evening Mass in Puckane on Saturday evenings until Illness took it's Toll on his Hard-working Body. To his Beloved Wife Margaret and Son Darius and Daughter Kathleen and Family and All his Other Relatives far and Wide, I extend my Deepest Condolences. May Davy Rest in Peace forever with the Angels and Saints, Many are from The URRA Area I am sure. Solas na bFhlaitheas do a Anam Dilis.
