Sincere condolences to the Ewing family. I have great memories of playing gaelic, hurling and rugby with David. He was tough as nails but a true gentleman. Great man to have a chat with, had many wonderful stories to tell. We were in St John’s National School and Summerhill College at the same time. May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the Ewing family. I have great memories of playing underage football in St. Marys with David. Our team was managed by his father Sean and captained by David for a number of years. Both shared a great love of Gaelic football. We were also at school in St John’s and Summerhill at the same time. I’m very sorry to hear of his untimely passing and to have been unable to attend the funeral mass. May he rest in peace.

He devoted time to volunteering for various organisations in Sligo and was a regular steward at matches and Sligo festivals.Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige.
