Heartbroken to hear of such sad news. I was always so in awe of Uncle David and Aunty Jean as a kid, I loved listening to all the fabulous stories of their travels around the world together.

Uncle David was a complete gentleman with a great sense of humour, he always gave me and my sister Jade a good laugh. We have great memories of Christmas day all of us squashed into Nanny Fitz’s sitting room watching Top of the Pops.

I am heart broken that Dave has left this world. He had the biggest heart. He was always someone to rely on, taking care of everyone. Such a selfless man, with a fantastic sense of humour. The family here in Australia are devastated. We all loved Dave. Condolences to Jean, Orla, Niamh and Dave (Jr) and their families. Such a loss.

David was a great man he took me for Guinness tours of Dublin when I may have been underage. Was the most hospitable human being to myself and my family. Had a wonderful day with him in Toronto on a patio and then a great boat cruise around the city. I always left his company with a smile on my face. He will be solely missed by all of our family and I know all of his family will miss him deeply.
