Sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was my maths lecturer in CIT and left a lasting impression with his style and enthuasism and love of Maths and puzzles. May he rest in peace.

Truly saddened to hear of the passing of Dave. We were both students of Dave and shared the common love of his style of inspirational teaching. His knowledge of the great mathematicians of old was vast, yet he also sprinkled his classes with little anecdotes of his own family...riddles being left on the fridge for you all to solve!

Very sad to hear of Dave's passing. I still remember fondly Dave's lectures, he brought maths to life with tales of the lives and discoveries of the great mathematician's. Lovely eulogies from Dave's son, brother and wife, Ann.

Dave was a wonderful lecturer with an infectious love for Maths. He often asked the daydreamers for their conjectures on the latest puzzle, so we paid a bit more attention to Dave than others! The world is poorer for his loss. Deepest condolences to all of his family and friends.

We were lucky to have met David on a few occasions in Inisboffin and Ballymore Eustace. He was a lovely man. Our sympathies are with Ann and his family.

Flannery family--- your dad (and grandad) was not only a diligent lecturer in college but it was always a pleasure to attend his lectures.
