We cherish all the lovely memories ...of David and Mary, wonderful grandparents to Hannah.... and will be greatly missed ...in our constant thoughts and prayers....much love Deborah Ellie & Sophia xxxx
We and our family, were so very saddened to hear of David’s passing.

We fondly remember him and Mary, from when our children were young, meeting up at their cousin Hannah’s house, for family get togethers…. happy memories.

David will always be remembered, as many others have said, as a true gentleman….. a softly spoken, kind and gentle man, who along with Mary, were wonderful grandparents to our niece Hannah.
May he rest in peace.

With our deepest sympathy to all of David’s family.
Angela & Julian Game

Sad to learn of David’s passing , an honourable, friendly gentleman. Sympathy to his family and friends.
Rest In Peace David.
I can echo what others have said - Uncle David struck me as a true, kind, softly spoken British Gentlemen who could command the room. Growing up in Hinckley I was always intrigued when he occasionally returned from some far off country where he was living and working with anecdotes and local gifts to share with his extended family - none of whom had roamed from Hinckley. Often there were no photos and my imagination wandered as I wondered how this explorer/adventurer’s adopted homes looked and daily life was like - be it Rhodesia, Indonesia, The Philippines or Hong Kong. I remember his Swiss registered Rover SD1 - was he a secret agent I wondered at the time! When he returned to the UK to live I remember the stories he told about pieces of furniture and how and where he’d acquired it - he was always fascinating. Some years later I think he inspired me to move to the USA for 14 years but I too returned. He was kind and thoughtful and always sent me and my children cards and gifts at Christmas. He will be truly missed by me and my family. Richard, Kerry, Harvey and Amelia.xxx
