David Francis MacKenzie

My sincerest sympathies to David's nearest and dearest. David and I served on the committee of Bray Camera Club during my tenure as club Chair and David's as Treasurer. We enjoyed many cups of coffee and idle chats after performing our banking duties on behalf of the club. David was always both personable and respectful in all our meetings and I treasured our friendship. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all of David’s family, he was a wonderful character. We have fond memories of him when we lived and worked in Dublin. On many occasions he brought us to the airport in the small hours of the morning, he’d be full of chat when all we wanted to do was snooze. May he rest in peace and be reunited with John whom he spoke about often during his illness.

I loved growing up with all you guys, and you were all such fun and always up for devilment and laughs and I think I know were you got at least part of that from. I always had great memories of Uncle David. He was always having a good aul laugh, and poking a bit of fun at me. He had a very big character, and his laugh will always be with me. He was someone I always enjoyed spending time with.

You guys have been through a lot over the years. My prayer is that David is in peace now with John , and grandad and granny and the rest of the gang, surrounded by Gods love.

We would play for endless hours and they were really special times. David now reunited with Johnny, who was such a great friend to me growing up. I have such fond memories of us McGovern kids piling into Laurleen. We had such fun and I always remember the pride David took in the model railway set upstairs which would captivate us all.
