David (Gander) Gannon

Dave was a gem of a character, the best-natured person you could hope to meet. My condolences to Ann and to his wife (I never met you but he talked you up always, after the mandatory slagging and teasing) and to all his family.
He was a kind person too.

Although a bit older we grew up in the park with Dave and the Gannon family. Dave was a kind young lad with an unbelievable smile on his face that would cheer you up if you were feeling down. We are so glad he carried this trait into manhood and was well liked by anyone who met him. Too young to go he will never be forgotten. Sincere sympathies to his family and relatives on your loss. Moving to live here in about yr 2000, met David via booking a lift usually to or from Maynooth or Lucan with A2Z cabs, within a couple of trips it was a guarantee passengers and public would have an absolute blast with him on the way out or coming back home.

Flash lamp on and often using a loudspeaker he cheerily and enthusiastically entertained everyone who was around ..

Rest easy Mr. Gannon .. a song that will forever remain iconic in my memory of you comes to mind; Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - you crazy diamond!
