We are so very sorry to hear the news of Dave passing. I remember all the stories he and dad have told us over a glass is red wine or two trying to outdo each other. Now they are on to their next adventure together and hopefully are enjoying telling more stories. Big hugs to you Marcia and to your son. May your memories keep you smiling through the hard times. Dear Marcia, we were sorry to hear of Dave's death. Although I was not to be able to attend his funeral in person I was there with you all on-line.
I did not meet Dave very often and the last time was when Philippa and I visited you both in 2017. I was therefore grateful for Chris' thoughtful and sincere eulogy which left me wishing that there had been more opportunities to get to know Dave better.
The scripture readings were well chosen and St Paul's reflection on love (charity) was particularly special. That reading was on a tape of religious music and scripture that we had playing in the background when I sat with Michael, my Dad, during his last night on this earth.
Many of those who have survived after being close to death speak of an encounter of overwhelming peace and love. I hope that Dave is experiencing that now along with Michael and all our beloved family and friends who have gone before him.
