So sorry to hear the news of a lovely old friends passing. David was a kind and considerate boss, curious and fun loving. He brought a worldliness to Georges St in Juice, it was a great restaurant and a fantastic place to work. A testament to his vision, and the Keane brothers hard work. Sincere condolences to dear Anthony and all his family.
Rest in peace David, you will not be forgotten X
David had so many talents and charms. At school he was an occasional bookmaker. Only once got the better of him backing Rag Trade in the '76 Grand National! Once, he tossed a coin 7 times with me losing each random call. Valuable lesson. Rest in peace and sincere condolences to Anthony, Gillian and Valerie on your deep loss.

To Gillian Valerie & Anthony thinking of you all at this very sad & difficult
time may David rest in peace
Deepest condolences to Anthony and all the Keane family. I first met Dave in September 1972 at Ring College Irish boarding school. I was a very gouache naïve 10-year old, lonely and home sick, but Dave, a couple of years older, took me under his wing that year, protected me from the worst excesses of the place. We remained friends ever since, through various ups and downs, but lost touch in recent years. Always meant to reconnect, there always seemed to be time.... ní bheidh a leithéid le feiceáil arís.
Anthony, my sincere condolences to you and your family. You were a great brother to Dave. May he rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Anthony, Gillian and Valerie - May David rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Anthony and family for your loss. David was a force of nature and both a friend and learned ‘boss’ during my days & nights at Juice where he brought his unique charm and perspective to the workplace. I will always remember the wonderful moments we shared together.
May you (all) find the strength to get through this difficult time.
Sincerely, Claudia
Awful painful tragic news. Will so miss Dave. One of ny fondest memories was flying from Phnom Penh to Bangkok to see off my then girlfriend Liz who had a connecting flight to LA. I was supposed to be manning the news desk in Phnom Penh but I planned to hop a 7am flight back and nobody would be the wiser. Provided there was no coup or mass atrocity. Dave rang the office and, despite my instructions, my assistant told him I had flown to Bangkok for the night. Anyhow walking out of the airport my girlfriend says "There's your friend Dave from Dublin." He had lashed out to airport on spec, all chilled and buoyant after a silent Buddhist retreat. We had dinner. Then Dave sweetly said "Given you two have only a few hours left together I had better disappear." Now he has disappeared.
