Saddened to hear of Dave's passing- he was a gentleman and always so kind to people. Sincere condolences to his family, and all who knew and loved him.
Connie, we are still in shock with the sad news about Dave. We sat with the kids and spoke about all the great memories and stories, all of which had Dave at the epicentre!

Our kids grew up with Dave singing songs to them (and their Mom & Dad), telling jokes and just generally being great fun. We will all miss him, but have such fond memories to make sure he isn't forgotten.

May he rest in peace. All our prayers and love - Marie, Colin, John, Amelie & Alex
Dear Connie and Family, we are so so sad to hear of Dave's passing. What an amazing man he was and was blessed with great humour, fun and a zest for life. May these memories of a great man give you comfort in these difficult days. Thinking of you at this time. May Dave Rest in Peace

We are deeply sorry for your loss. David (Dave to his fellow trustees) was a valued member of the Board. He was an active contributor, always friendly and collegiate. This led to high quality robust decisions for the 15,000+ scheme members. We will miss his wisdom, style and friendship. Please accept our condolences during this challenging time.
Connie and girls, I arrived home from the USA last night to meet a friend who told us about Dave’s passing. Valerie and I are shocked. While we hadn’t meet in a few years his influence and personality never left us. He was one of a kind, a great friend and mentor to me and one of the most engaging and intelligent Human Resource professionals you could work with. He lived life to the full and we enjoyed many a day together in EBS and beyond. When I left the society our families continued our friendship and have yet to meet a more loving, caring and generous person. We are heartbroken Connie - Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dhilis.

Our sincere sympathy to all the family. Thinking of ye all at this sad time. May David rest in peace.
What a wonderful man to have as a friend, for over 20 years. Glad I got to spend so much time with him in the last few weeks, and his last few days. We laughed together, cried together and then laughed again. More tears today though.

Travelled all over the world with him and it was never dull. Worst mistake I ever made on a trip, was to tell him I’d pick up the food at the grocery store, and he should get the vino. Big mistake !!

If there was a more generous, thoughtful guy around, I’m not sure I’ve met them. He helped oh so many people.

He was a CHARACTER, and a constant source of energy.

He had an enormous positive affect on my life and that of my family. We will all miss him.

Dave was given 3 years to live about 7 years ago, and we celebrated each anniversary in style. Laughing of course.

We will never forget him, or the laughs we shared with him. He will always be in our thoughts.

Rest in peace Dave. ADIOS BABY, and keep SMILING !! 😘

Shocked and saddened to hear the news of Dave’s passing over the weekend via members of the “EBS Family” (one which we never really leave).
