When I think of David, it will always be with a drink in one hand, a guitar in the other and a massive smile across his, and everyone else’s face who was lucky enough to be in the presence of his energy.
In Cavan, when we were younger, we would hear “the adults” hysterically laughing upstairs and our first response would be “David Kidd must be here.”
David’s contagious laugh and cheeky grin would announce “here comes trouble” whenever I approached and it instantly had me grinning back- an effect he had on many.
My heart goes out to Daisy, Owen, Ben and all of the other people who’s lives were lightened by David’s.
