Hi Rosalie, Fiona, Nicola, Paul, Owen, Julie and family.

I ony heard today 18th. September of David's sad passing. What a gentleman he was. I have very happy memories of our chats over the years.

I was so sorry to hear of David's death recently. He was both a boss and inspiration of mine many years ago. A very decent man and a very good surgeon who made each day at work a pleasure. I would like to pass on my sincerest sympathy to his family who will miss hem dearly. May he rest in peace.

During the 1980s, our family had two occasions to be very thankful for Mr Kiely's skill and kindness as a surgeon. We will always be grateful.

We were so sad to hear of David's death. Our deep sympathies to Rosalie, their children and the wider Kiely family.

David's quiet gentle and modest demeanor belied his many talents and achievements. Apart altogether from his successful surgical career, Dave is one of a very small number to have gained provincial and international recognition in several sports; and he excelled in each one. I always enjoyed his company and understated humour.

One small enterprise we jointly established several decades ago, was the Cork Inter-Hospital Golf Society that hosts an annual outing, Membership is open to all hospital-based medical colleagues and their spouses/partners.
