Sorry for your loss, Heather & Herbert & David's entire family. We go all the way back to The Widow Hendy Tippeenan, where we gathered frequently in our childhood.
David's nickname then, was Scaldy, & still answered to it when I met him & Ross at Philip's bedside at the Curragh Hospice.
He never lost his sense of humour....enjoy the memories.

They say you can't choose your family but David as was not unusual for this man was an exception to that rule. I was privileged to have him as an "uncle" He added to my life experience and those of my family particularly my Nan "bones" as he called her my mother her sisters and my brother and sisters. His wit, generosity, charm and integrity will be missed but remembered. Condolence go to his welcoming family with wishes our connections continue. Strength and peace.
