I was an intern at CES for a year, starting when David did. He was a soft-spoken, thoughtful person and anytime we spoke over coffee (conversation ranged from history, posture, computers, motorcycles, to feminism), a 15 minute break usually turned into an hour. He was easy to appreciate. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

Peace and well wishes to his family and friends.
I am so very sorry to learn that David is no longer with us. I worked with David in Southampton for a number of years and will always remember his sense of humour and dry wit. I would often seek David's advice and he was always willing to listen. David was charismatic, kind and a genuinely lovely person. My heart goes out to David's family. He will be very much missed.
Dear Ludmila and Vince,

Even though we were unable to attend the celebration of life for David in person, we did watch the beautiful service for him online and learned many interesting things about David. Even though we have known him for over 4 decades as Adhish’s dearest friend, his humbleness kept some of his accomplishments hidden from us. What a truly remarkable man he was. You must be, and should be so very proud of what he did in the shortened life span that he had.

Rekha and I fondly remember youngsters Adhish and David going to school together, attending camps and hanging out in the park across from our building. David grew up to become a brilliant young man but he retained his sweet smile and his pleasant disposition.

We were fortunate to have met David last year when he visited Adhish and Cheryl. It was wonderful to have spent some time with him. May his soul rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we wish you a safe journey home. We will plan to visit you once you are back in Canada. With much love to you both, Rekha and Ajit
Dear Vaclav and Ludmila,
My heartfelt condolences to you both at this very difficult time.
May David rest in peace.
Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.
To Vaclav, Ludmila and to the family,
Please accept my condolences for David's passing on. I can say that during the two years or so that I worked with him (he was my line manager), he left a strong impression on my heart. As many others attest to, he was kind, with a great sense of humour, a great debater and knowledge sharer. He was patient and welcoming and always had a cheerful countenance. I pray for comfort for you and all the family at this time, and may our testimonies of your son's life bring you peace. Best wishes,
Dear Vaclav and Ludmila,

My sincerest condolences to you on the searing loss of your son, David. I hope it brings you some small comfort to know that his colleagues at CES found David to be such a lovely man, always easy in himself, with a gentle humour, unhurried and mellow in his ways - rare qualities.

My heart is with you as you journey home x
Ludmila and Vaclav, I am so sorry for the unimaginable loss of your son.
I hope that you find some comfort in David's remarkable life. He has been missed terribly at CES during his illness and will continue to be. David was a kind, intelligent, and very funny person.
