David (Lar) LARRIGAN

My deepest condolences to all the Larrigan family.
Many a story Lar and I could have told everyone when it comes to our school and teenage life. His dry wit and passion for football will be forever legendary. Rest well my old friend.

My sincerest sympathy to the Larrigan Family, I was shocked to hear of Lar's passing unfortunately 2days too late, we had a great friendship in our secondary school days, and I hold those memories dearly, Lar was the finest mate you could possibly have. Sorry I could not be there. RIP Lar ,gone but not forgotten pal, up the hoops !!

Lar was a gentleman to the core. So thoughtful and kind & funny. His love for Rovers was only surpassed by the love for his family. My deepest condolences and sympathies to Niall & Geraldine and all the Larrigan family. I worked with Lar for 9 years at Carr Golf and was so grateful and fortunate enough to work with him at McGuirks Golf in more recent years. RIP Lar - Keep on hoopin brother 💚

David will be remembered as a much loved man. The care he received from Ger, Pat and indeed the rest of the family was incredible. He will leave a hole in all your hearts. a wise man once said that you wont make a true friend after your 25th birthday. how wrong he was. first encounter with Lar was in the Miller at the start of Michael ONeill time as Hoops manager. We sold our top defender in order to sign Gary Twigg centre forward much to Lars annoyance .2 league titles and a shed load of goals later I won the argument. We traversed the length and breadth of Ireland and Europe supporting the Hoops , too many stories to recount here.
He hugely missed his soul-mate Lockers when he passed at the start of covid.
In summary Lar was a lovely person and a huge loss.
