I'm very deeply shocked to learn of David's passing. He was an absolutely lovely person who I was blessed, honoured, to have in my life as a friend. We, together, go back decades and had been through many of life's up and downs. David in the down times genuinely kept me sane, save my neck a few times and always made me laugh even at the toughest of times. I wouldn't be in great part, the person I am today if it wasn't for David and his ability to cheer someone up and at times when needed, talk sense into them. David was a rock that people held on to when rescuing was needed. He was there for me.

David has touched many lives and many are all the better for he doing so. I speak as one mere example. I am going to miss you Dave. Thank you for being in my life. it's been my honour to know you and even better, have you as a friend.
