Sincere sympathy to Maire and family on David's sudden passing, Noel and I were shocked by the news. My friendship with the Lohan family dates back to the sixties. I was friends with his Mum and Dad initially ,and then became friends with David. I have great memories of my chats with himself and Liam Belton in the dispensing room in the rear of the shop.

David was one of the most caring, empathetic, interesting, entertaining, kind and gentle people I have ever met. He held, and will always hold, a special place in my heart. I received the best training in the year I spent in his pharmacy and always felt privileged to have had that grounding in my pharmacy career. I learnt so much professionally but also in the deeper skills of dealing with people with respect and kindness always. We had such fun and laughs that year and that continued any time I had the pleasure of meeting him since. David was special in every way. He will be sadly and sorely missed. Rest in Peace.
