David Millar

Still coming to terms with this very sad news. I became close friends with Dave while studying with him at Queen's University Belfast and later working with him in North Wales. He had a kind and gentle nature and will be sorely missed by many. My sincerest condolences to his family at this time.

I am deeply sorry to hear about Dave. I met him and climbed with him in the 90s and he was always a genuine pleasure to be around. He had a relaxed manner and easy company. Sincere condolences to his family.

It was awful to hear of David's passing. I first met David at Queens in 1994 and enjoyed our time together learning Geology in the class and field. My sincere condolences to the Millar family at this sad time. Rest easy, Dave.

So very, very saddened to hear of David's death. I had the great privilege of sharing many climbing adventures with Dave, both local and abroad. From being benighted on top of El Cap to be being chased out of Glen Etive by hoards of midges, they were always very memorable with Dave - and hilarious to boot.

It was with sadness we heard of David's death. We have lots of good memories of David growing up through his friendship with our son Stewart, school and scouts may he rest in peace.

An old school friend of David's I was terribly saddened to hear of his untimely passing, unfortunately I am in Spain at the moment so will not be able to attend the funeral but please know I will be thinking of you all, fond memories of a great guy, rest in peace David 🙏
