It was very nice to meet him. I used to work at Lidl's cashier and he always went there, always in a good mood smiling for everyone and always very happy. He has already made my day better several times. May God protect your soul David. I know you're in a better place now. Rest in peace!

I am still in shock of David’s untimely passing. We met in Antigua many years ago only to discover we both lived in Blackrock at the time. Our friendship was strong and I will truly miss his banter and the laughter he always brought. David was a master with words, thoughtful, generous where he could and I will miss him.

So very sorry to hear of Dave's untimely passing.
Like us all he had his flaws but his decency, joie de vivre, infectious laugh and sense of fun are the things that come to mind when I think of Dave. There was a bunch of us that had great fun through a couple of musicals in the St. Michael's PPU in the early 90s.
The last time I saw Dave was a chance encounter walking through the streets near the port in Antibes about 15 years ago. We chatted for a few minutes; I was pushing a buggy with my first born and Dave was enjoying a few minutes on dry land away from his new role as Captain of a motor yacht moored at the marina.
Rest in peace Dave.
