Dear O’Connell family, relatives and friends. I write from Lexington KY. I wish to express my sadness on the loss of my friend David, a UCD classmate. He was much loved by his fellow students and respected. David always lit up a room and helped us all stay in good mind with his wit and humour. I always loved his laughter which he did abundantly. He made friends easily and he was always good company. I am sad that I hadn’t seen David in 34 years but his photo is exactly how I remember him. A jovial happy nice lad. I’ll miss him. I’m sure he finished well and the Lord has welcomed him home as “ my good and faithful servant”
