David Sheehan

To Angela and Aidan. Very sad to hear of Daves passing. We started together in 1978, our first day in County Hall and later both attended each others retirements. Time to hang up the white coats. Millions of tests done, farms and rivers and lakes sampled. New instruments broken in, new staff trained, lots of accreditation certificates for perfection. 40 years have passed, we got there Dave. Pleasure to know and work with you. The lovely tributes speak volumes about this man. Mary Stack.

Angela & Aidan, I was both surprised and sorry to hear of Dave's death, may he rest in peace. It was an honour and a privilege to work with him down the years while he was based in Inniscarra. The testing done in Inniscarra played an important role in protecting the health of the people of County Cork, and the health of the water bodies throughout the County. His professional advice and guidance was always top class. He was also a great conversationalist at tea or lunch time. The last time I saw Dave was at his retirement in Blarney, when I met you for the first time.
