Dont ever remember this man raising his voice to anyone in school.! Sorry for your loss. Former student
— Maggie .
Sincere condolences to Rose, Rónán, Paula and your extended family on the passing of David.

As many of his students undoubtedly felt, we were blessed to have him as a teacher. He was so knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to his teaching, ensuring that our love for Business Studies was nurtured in a daily basis. He ensured his classes were light-hearted - and we were well-capable of getting him side-tracked onto general knowledge topics, where he would enthusiastically explain aspects of world news and entertain us with stories and accompanying drawings!!

Most of all, I was blessed that he chose me to be part of the 1994-1995 Concern Debating team for UCT. As a mentor, he brought out the best in each one of us, nurturing a love for debating which remains today. I still remain involved in the Concern debating programme all these years later. We were so proud to win the 1995 Concern All-Ireland Debating Final - as much for him as for ourselves. On meeting this year’s UCT Concern Debating team, I had lots of fun stories to share - things that could only have happened with Mr. Morris!! From car breakdowns to celebrations in Abbeyleix, the memories created still bring a smile to my face. Debating changed my life in many ways - and he was an instrumental part of that.

Ever the gentleman, he treated all whom he met with such respect. May he enjoy eternal happiness and peace.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís.
