David Tinoune Remaud

It’s many years since I last saw David. So so sad to hear he’s gone. The words rest in peace were never truer.

“Everything that once was still is, in a different form.”

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was a such a beautiful person who worked with me in his student days in the people's flower gardens in the phoneix park in Dublin . He had such a great love and talent for gardening. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy

Always a pleasure to chat with David. He had a kind nature, a wealth of knowledge and was a passionate supporter of local organic growers. We spoke about daffodils once, I was surprised at how early some were blooming and he told me there was one that bloomed as early as December. I'll think of him everytime I see it.

To say we are shocked to hear the news is an understatement. We are so deeply sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was a true gentleman – a kind and gentle soul, whose warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

David was always a pleasure to talk to. Whether it was a chance meeting in the peaceful paths of Kilmacurragh Gardens or a quick chat by the sea in Brittas Bay after a summer dip, he always took the time to genuinely connect.

He had a quiet way of showing great care – always asking about our lives, our family, and the plants we were growing. His interest was sincere, and our conversations often turned to the beauty of nature and the joys of gardening.

I remember David’s compassion was never more evident than when we met him on the road one day as he searched for someone's missing dog. His tireless efforts spoke volumes about the depth of his kindness and empathy.

He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Deepest sympathies to all of David’s loved ones. David was a truly special soul – a talented, compassionate, and beautiful man whose deep love for people, animals and mother nature touched everyone who knew him. His heart belonged to both France and Ireland, places that inspired him and mirrored his warmth and spirit. We are so grateful to have known and loved him. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.

David was a patient, knowledgeable, gentleman who shared his passions. I remember once showing him around the JFK Arboretum and wishing that I'd have the chance to collaborate with him someday. A real loss to us all.

Will forever treasure the conversations we had through the years.. the endless flat whites & sandwiches you would come in for daily with a smile on your face, you were always so kind to me and my team in the cafe in which everyone spoke so highly about you! Thank you for allowing me to think I could speak French! (Bon appetite) when in hindsight I couldn’t! You will be forever missed David ❤️x

We send our love to you all the Remaud family, on the passing of your very special David. He impressed all that met him with his friendly and down-to-earth nature. He travelled and stayed here with my sister Antoinette while travelling around Australia. It was a pleasure having them visit and we all had a great time together, including our children. David had that special nature about him that made people feel at ease. I pray that he is now at peace himself. RIP David.

Very very sad and sorry to hear the sad passing of David. Always enjoyed chatting with him in hill house. He was such a gentleman and great with the animals when we were away. The place won't be the same without David. RIP David. ❤️💔

It is with great sadness, but also with fond memories, that I write this tribute. David was a true gentleman—kind-hearted, talented, and always generous with his time and knowledge.

I had the privilege of working alongside David both as an educator and as a colleague, particularly during our time building the Bloom Show Garden. Our knowledge-sharing was mutual; David was incredibly skilled in his craft, capable of turning his hand to anything with ease and precision.

He had a unique ability to light up any room with his warm smile and quick wit. David will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

Absolutely shocked and saddened to hear this news about David. He was such a lovely kind and friendly person. My thoughts are with those closest to him here in Ireland, and to his family at home.
