Deeply saddened to belatedly learn of David’s passing. Sincere sympathy to Joan, Emmet, Brian in NJ and to Eugene, Helen and extended family and friends in Limerick. One of life’s gentlemen, Dave was an exciting, talented and mighty hurling warrior and featured prominently as a highly regarded colleague during CBS Sexton Street’s golden days in the ‘60s. His bubbly personality and warm interpersonal skills made him the best of company and indeed that same skillset lulled many an ambitious forward into a false sense of security until the sliothar arrived and the real business began! Solas na bhFlaitheas dá anam uasal.
We were so grateful to have had that rare opportunity to meet Dave. We'll never forget him, nor how kind he was to us. Our deepest condolences to Joan and their wonderful family, and to dear Helen and all the Heelans. We love and cherish you.
Sincere sympathy to Helen and all the Tuohy family on Dave’s passing. He was a lovely guy to know and was a very stylish hurler when we played at Sexton St. CBS back in the sixties. Unfortunately ill health caused him to miss our last reunion a few years ago. He was missed then and sadly will be missed now again.
