My deepest condolences to Pat, Ann and all David’s family. I’ve never had the privilege of meeting David, but I’ve heard so many wonderful stories about him from his daughter in law Ann. What a wonderful gentleman and a great age, may his gentle soul rest in peace.

I am greatly saddened to learn of David’s passing. A man of indomitable spirit and a capacious heart for the natural world and Delgany village and environs in particular. He was a fount of knowledge and great support to me, in my time as Chair of Delgany Community Council. The phrase ‘we will not see his like again’ could have been written for him.

My deepest sympathy to his children and grand children (of whom he was so proud and often spoke over a “wee dram” of an evening), spouses and partners along with the wider family circle.

May his memory be a blessing to many.

Our sincere condolences to Aidan and Dan and the rest of the Walsh family.

Although David's death has not been unexpected, I will miss our regular phone conversations and his frequent visits to our home while Eileen lived and since then until his health began to fail.
David lived a very full life and a good life, setting high standards for himself and for us, his cousins, and those of us fortunate enough to know him well.
May he reap the rewards of that life as he enters his Heavenly Home.
