Sincere condolences Janet , Sara and Eoin. So very sad to hear of Dave’s passing. We have very fond memories, usually involving a great deal of laughter, of working with him in Technico all those years ago.
He was a very special person who we were privileged to have as a friend.

My sincere condolences Janet and family. I have many fond memories of Dave growing up in Palmerstown. Our paths crossed regularly in places like Kevin St College, the Deads and in the Spa. Always good humoured, always a gentleman. I expect Sean and himself will enjoy a few Smithwicks, together again.

I will really miss Dave around Leinster House, he always had a kind word and a laugh, he was never in bad form. He was a mind of information and was brilliant with those he worked with from the OWL programme. Rest in Peace Dave, thoughts are with your family.

We were childhood friends, Dinky and Matchbox car enthusiasts. In those days we would walk from Palmerstown to Clondalkin without a car passing us and sit for an hour by the canal and walk back again. What fun we had. Fly to Heaven on the wings of the angels my friend.

We were deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Dave’s passing. We first met Dave in 1972 this smiley cheeky happy lad when he came to work in Technico as my apprentice and from that first day he never changed. We’ll miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.
I am devastated to hear of the untimely death of this wonderful human being. On the few occasions that I met his he made an indelible impression. He was true gentleman in every sense of the word and he will be sorely missed. My condolences go to his wife, children and family at this sad time.

Deepest condolences Janet, Eoin and Sara. Dave was a wonderful man who thought me how to drive when I was 17 and now at 57 I still love driving, because he was a great teacher. I'll miss our Christmas drinks. I'll miss you both at our gigs. I hope he's driving a Datson 120 Y where ever he is ! Rest in peace Dave from me and the lads in Absolutely Yo!
