I was sorry to hear that David had passed away. I remember him as a gentle and compassionate person. I have great memories of him on a community education study trip to Scotland some years ago.

My deepest condolences to Dave's family and friends. I worked with Dave in VEC (LCETB) for a number of years. Dave taught learners in many venues across Limerick City and he was patient, kind and supportive as a tutor and colleague. Dave was part of a community Steering group looking at the marketing of community-based education and it was Dave who came up with the name 'Learn Local' which became the brand name for Community ed for a number of years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.

We were very sorry to hear of David’s passing. We just knew him from Grove Island where he always had time for everybody. We will all miss our chats with David. Our deepest sympathies for his family at this very sad time.

My deepest condolences to Dave's family and friends. I knew him first as a student and then a colleague. I often met him while out walking and it was a pleasure to have the chats. He had a great sense of humour and spoke often of his family.

Dear Caoimhe, David mentioned many times he was going with you on holiday, on lunch.... I am shocked, can't believe I will not meet Dave anymore at Grove Island, we were chatting more than swimming in the pool. Or in Tesco.... only saw him last week on Catherine street, he was so happy with his new apartment.

I knew him as a warm, kind and witty colleague, with a great mind, in Limerick City VEC/LCETB, when we both worked in Adult Education. Would meet him after on the street sometimes and time would fly, catching up and putting the world to rights.
Remembering him fondly and wishing his spirit joy and peace in its journey onward.
