Myself and my family were devastated by this shocking news. We were so very fortunate to meet David and Maire when we experienced their amazing Irish hospitality at their Airbnb. We honestly felt we had an immediate friendship with the wonderful David, his welcome was unsurpassable and he really made a huge impact on us and absolutely enhanced our visit to our mother’s home town, Nina Brazil of the Beeches. The extraordinary kindness of David and Maire to seek out Beeches history and give us photos (and a bathplug heirloom, thank you Maire!) meant the absolute world to us. Words cannot express the impression he made on us but please know that he epitomised all the best things about Ireland and we felt privileged to have our brief but wonderful encounter with him. Our hearts go out to you all and you and David are in our prayers🙏🏻🫶xx
