Davy was a gentleman and a font of knowledge when it came to people, sport and the town of Fethard. A great town character and he always had a warm welcome for all in St Patricks Place.

My deepest sympathies to the extended Morrissey family , especially his brother Patsy who was in the same class as me growing up in Fethard.
Davy was roughly the same generation as me and we sported and played together in a circle of lads in the late 60's and early 70's. He was a character & always had a friendly word for everyone. I used to meet him occasionally in later years on my trips back to Fethard & time passed quickly when having a chat with Davy. He is a big loss to the social fabric of Fethard

I was so so sad to hear of the passing of the beautiful and kind Davy. I worked with Davy for a number of years, the tea breaks were a mighty craic every morning with Davy and his good humour. To Bridget and all of Davy's sons daughters, grandchildren, brothers sisters and extended Morrissey family and huge circle of friends I extend my sincere condolences to you all. My sincere sympathy to you all on Davy’s passing . I have really good memories of playing tennis with Davy in the tennis courts in Fethard. I know l played with himself and Majella in competitions in the eighties. Obviously he was so much better than me but he was always kind and patient. From those days to present day whenever l met him he was always kind and friendly. A gentleman. May he rest in peace .
