My sincere condolences to Debbie's family and to Lucy. I met Debbie four years ago when we were both members of a feminist book club, where Debbie showed herself to be clever and funny. We formed a friendship outside of the group and over the years have gone to nights out, comedy shows and a concert together, and chatted over many a drink. Debbie was always a supportive friend with a sharp wit and excellent advice. I am very sorry for your loss, and my heart goes out to the many people who will miss her. xx

When I think of my childhood, my happiest memories are of playing barbies with Debbie and her super magic dream house, sitting in the club house in the back garden, making plans for the ‘biggies club’, planning elaborate weddings for Stripe and Rosie, or bobbing for apples every Halloween in the O’Neills sitting room.
Debbie was a beautiful soul who brought so much joy to those around her. May she rest in peace.
