I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. Although she was my neighbour in Sandyford, I did not know Debbie well except in passing. But I will never forget her thoughtfulness and kindness to my children when I was very ill in hospital for months 3 yrs ago. Although the entire estate knew it was touch and go with me, Debbie was one of a very few who regularly enquired how I was, offered to make dinners for the kids or do shopping for them. Her practical offers of help to Aaron and Donna meant a lot to me as they were holding down jobs, going to college and spending as much time as they could in the hospital. Out of 300 houses in the estate, and when NOT one of the so called community leaders who I worked with for 3 years crossed the gate to see how I or the kids were faring up, Debbie would come out to them of an evening to see if they were ok for everything. That to me, is a measure of who Debbie was as a person. A kind hearted, thoughtful lady. I will never forget her for it and will hold her in my prayers. Condolences to Nathan and her family. Rest in peace with the Angels Debbie. X
