He was such a lovely, chatty & friendly man. So helpful too with plenty of stories....Many covering his obvious pride in his sons.

The few times I had to spend with Declan were full of wonder, wit and merriment. His intimate knowledge of all things eccentric made him a real renaissance man and I never left his company without some strange fact/ anecdote running around my brain which always kept me amused long after we’d parted. I’m so sad to hear of his departure to that golden shore as I’d always hoped to learn some more irresponsible facts about life lol. I wish I could be there with all his wonderful family but I’m on tour at the moment but I’ll dedicate an inappropriate song to him which I’m sure he would appreciate. Thoughts and prayers.
