I have great memories of Deccie as a referee when I played in Cork Con in the 70's. He was so fair and good humoured. He was an immense figure in Cork life, always bubbly and full of fun.

A wonderful character that will be missed. Great consolation to know that he lived a full and complete life. He touched so many with his love of Gaelige and was a true wit.
