Sincere condolences on the death of your Dad. I have the fondest of memories of going into the shop as a young child while we were on summer holidays to buy gas mantles for my Mam's caravan (Iretons) and on one particular occasion him giving my Mam credit because we were waiting for my Dad to come down with his wages and that particular week we accidently broke 3 mantles much to the annoyance of my mother. What i remember most was his kindness and not making my Mam feel embarrassed for asking for the credit. With 6 kids all under 12 him giving the mantle to her made all the difference that night. May his gentle and kind soul rest in peace.
