So sad to hear the untimely passing of Declan. As my neighbour, childhood friend and classmate, he made growing up in Curraheen fun. There was always mischief and devilment in him and you were always guaranteed a good laugh in his company.
To Kathleen and Kevin, my deepest sympathy to you for your heartache at the loss of your son and brother. To Ann-Marie his wife, Michaela, Daniel and Matilda on the loss of your husband and dad.
From all the tributes written and spoken about the last couple of days, Declan has left behind a legacy of a character with kindness, gratitude and Love.... something we all want to leave this world with.
