Declan NUGENT

So sad to hear of Declan's passing. Only had a great chat couple of days before. Always asking
for the family and 'are you looking after yourself'. He will leave a void in the everyday life of Shankill.
Rest in peace.

I am still shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of one of life's true gentlemen. It is rare in these times that you will meet someone who can spare a thought for others. Declan always had time for everyone, if it was a quick chat, a rogueish smile, a kind word, a short story. He showed a keen interest in all his customers. Shankill will be a lonelier place without you Declan, and myself and my daughter will miss you xxxxx

I was very shocked when I received a call on monday evening to say declan had passed away..most afternoons id go into the garage and always looked forward to our slagging match.he was a gas ticket..he'll be sadly missed in shankill. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I was very sorry and shocked to hear of the passing of Declan. He was a well known character in Shankill and kept many of us amused while paying for our petrol, with his dry wit and unique sense of humor. He spoke often of his nieces and nephews, they obviously meant a lot to him. He will be sadly missed.
