I am so sorry to hear that Deirdre has left us. I spent some happy years sitting beside her in St Brigid’s and we learned Spanish together.

I learnt with great sorrow only today , of Deirdres passing . We were classmates in St Brigid's Secondary school and in UCC. Latterly we had reconnected in the Mardyke gym and I had the pleasure of chatting to Robert also , up to 2019....a great musician , linquist , she will be sorely missed I know . Deep condolences once again .

Ms Creagh was my German teacher in North Pres, she had a real vibrancy about her and an ability to bring the language to life. Her patience when teaching was endless. May she Rest in Peace

So very sorry to hear about Deirdre's death. I first met her in Sherkin at her wedding where I was working and my two friends were waitresses! I met her in Cork during the early 70s but lost contact as I moved to Dubin. She was a delightful woman. Sincere sympathy to Oisin and all her family and friends.

Deidre was a lovely person, a lover of music, knowledge, adventure and travel, and great company. I saw a lot of her when I lived in Cork in the 70s and 80s, but after I moved to the UK in 1989 our paths crossed only infrequently, and sadly not at all in recent years. I am so sorry to hear about your mum's passing. She taught me German in North Pres,and I travelled to Germany on her exchange programme on two occasions. She was absolutely fabulous. So much fun and so knowledgeable. A great teacher. She also joined my dad Teds (RIP) hill walking group. She was always so joyful. I have fond memories of her and my time in North Pres. Ms. Creagh was a wonderful teacher. I was very fortunate to have her teach me Spanish for 5th and 6th year in North Pres. She made it fun and even though I didn’t excel at languages, she was full of encouragement and praise.

Dear Oisin, Patience and family, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Deirdre was such a great person, I was always made so welcome at your house and as a teenager I thought that she made being an adult look like fun!
