So many kind and wonderful words have been spoken about Deird, to me she was my big sister always there comforting, a shoulder to cry on when needed, a word of wisdom when required and a hug to ease the pain. You thought me to be the man I am, to be kind and gentle, to show empathy and forgiveness to others.
To be fair, respectful, caring and to have compassion.
Things I try to life by and have thought my children.
I am eternally grateful.
Ahh the lovely memories we share, Blue sky's on summer's days in the back garden eating HB ice cream with wafers or singing and dancing to the radio in YOUR kitchen or having me run down to the chipper for chips on a Friday night before Gaybo and the late, late came on the tele. Good Times

Dero, Mr Fitz and Mark, I'm really sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs Fitz. She was a lovely woman and always welcomed me in to the house when we were growing up. My abiding memory will be Mrs Fitz and her own Mum walking arm in arm around Churchtown chatting way together and both giving me a big smile whenever I passed them by. RIP Mrs Fitz.
