Passing, she was truly a wonderful lady . She thought me for English in school, and even after I left school, I use to meet her for coffee in stillorgan.

My sincere condolences on your mother's passing. I am sorry to learn of it just now, a couple of hours after her funeral, and sincerely regret not having been there to pay my respects to you in person in St Therese's church.

Memories go back to childhood through our school days and then occasional meetings in the neighbourhood in more recent times.

Such a lovely and impressive person, as was your father Dick who shared school days and adventures with my own late father, Brendan. My mother Eimir also remembers Deirdre fondly.

May She too Rest In Peace.

Deirdre's beliefs never wavered. She showed her students through example how to be aware of those less fortunate. She liaised with Groups of elderly people and brought her students on regular visits to them. They gave parties to people in hospitals. Nothing was spared in the mounds of cakes and decorations and personalisation. I hope that her kind influence will continue by all those that were in her charge in Mount Sackville into the next generation and beyond. She was extremely supportive to the Sisters of St. Joseph Sisters who have 14 Communities in Haiti after the Earthquake. She was hppy in her work and had a great sense of humour.

I remember my own mum and dad were so thrilled with my friendship with you Joe, as they knew you came from the very best family, as was obvious from passing even one sentence with either Dick or Deirdre. I wish you strength and support, while you morn and also celebrate the life of Deirdre and the truly great fortune you had in being born of such amazing and wonderful parents.
