Deirdre was always a wonderful teacher with incredible patience, kindness and humour. So many fond memories from our days at the Gaelscoil and beyond where she introduced so many to the violin. Sincere condolences to Greg, David, Fintan, Emma and the extended families. I have only recently learned of Déirdre’s passing and was very saddened to hear this news. She was a kind and gentle lady who will be warmly remembered. My thoughts are with you all as you grieve this great loss.

Deirdre taught me violin in the 80's and early 90's. We lived in a house opposite in Rosewood Drive and I have great memories of heading across the road for lessons, she was a very kind and good teacher. Condolences to Greg, David, Fintan, Emma and her extended family and friends.

I met Deirdre 23yrs ago ,a heavily pregnant Mother who dreamed of playing the violin. At the college Street campus ,over 6 weeks I mastered 'twinkle twinkle little star'I didn't go on to join an orchestra but Deirdre indulged my dream with patience, kindness and how to not to just play the music but to 'feel it'. She left her mark on the World.
