Sincere sympathy to all Deirdre’s family. I had the pleasure to work with Deirdre for over 20 yrs and she was an amazing person and colleague. I will always remember her beautiful smile and friendly welcome wherever I met her. Her efficiency with work and kindness with people was effortless and an amazing quality. She will always be missed.

I've known Dee since our primary school days, My Dad was our taxi between Grange and Farmers Cross those days. I loved going to her house, it was always filled with fun and she always got a kick out of how I was fascinated with the "serving hatch" from their kitchen to the living room. We didn't see each other for a few years as she started her adventure in South Pres but she rejoined us a few years later in CKSS and we remained friends into adulthood. We shared many laughs, adventures and many cups of tea together, especially on our treasured "Wednesday night girls night" catch-ups. Dee, you were so kind and thoughtful and fun, you always had a smile on your face and that's how I'll remember you. I can still hear your laugh. I'm so sad that you're gone. You will be missed and never forgotten. Sincerest condolences to Ollie, Ruth, Aidan & Mathew and to her Dad Pat, her sisters and brothers and to all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace Dee x

Dee and I were like sisters, joined at the hip from birth. We travelled the world, shared countless adventures, and were always there for each other — through laughter and comforting one another . Though only a year older, she was a friend I looked up to in every sense.

We fought too, over silly things, but the love was always strong.

I hesitated to post this because it felt like saying goodbye — and I’m not ready for that. But I want her children to know how deeply their mum loved them. She gave them everything, and being their mother was at the heart of her life. She was truly incredible — and such a natural.

I’m so lucky she was my friend. The world feels a lot emptier right now — a void that will never be filled. I’ll carry Dee with me always, and when the time is right, I’ll be here with stories and photos for her children.

To my second family, I’m here for you x. And Ollie, Ruth, Aidan and Mathew I’m here for you too — now and always x

I first met Dee in Christ the King and she always had a smile on her face and always up for the craic. We continued our friendship into adulthood and our "wed night" catch up with the girls. Deepest condolences to Ollie, Ruth, Aidan and Matthew and to all Deirdre’s family. I am unable to put into words the sadness that I share with anyone who knew Deirdre at her passing. I have known Deirdre since we met in primary school and feel very lucky that I have so many great memories through the years as we moved from secondary school, into real life. The most prevalent word that comes to mind when I think of Deirdre is simply ‘fun’, every interaction, every night out, every cup of tea on a Wednesday, fun is the constant and I will truly miss her adding this to our lives. Our ‘Wednesday girls night’ will never have its full complement, nor be the same, however many cups of tea will be had in the future remembering our beautiful friend

I was lucky enough to know Dee since primary school. Our friendship continued through the years of secondary, college of commerce and our 'wed night catch ups'. Dee was always smiling with a heart of gold. We used to laugh how she was the older the one, even if was only by 10 days. Thinking of all your family in this incredible hard time. You'll never be forgotten. Rest in peace Dee.

Deepest condolences to the O'Keefe and Sheehan families on the loss of Dee. She was a truly remarkable person—kind, fun, and always smiling.

Dee played such a big role in our Computer Science class, bringing warmth, energy, and laughter that made those years all the more memorable. I was also fortunate to work alongside her later on in the labs and IT Services, where she was not only a brilliant colleague but also an fantastic boss.

She’ll be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dee was such a special person. She will always be in those core memories from the Computer Science days. She was a kind thoughtful person who had time for everyone and she was full of fun. She was a fantastic class rep, a key organizer of our class trips to Frankfurt and Brussels. We were all very lucky to have shared that time with her.
