I am deeply saddened to hear of Deirdre's passing. Such a lovely strong woman. I have known her on BOM at Coláiste Dhúlaigh PP/ Coolock Community College. She always had a friendly "Hello" for me in Tescos and Dunnes and always stopped for a little chat. Such a pillar of the community.

You where such a big part of my childhood thank you for everything you thought me and all the love you gave me I’ll miss you so much rip

Deirdre’s wonderful and supportive personality imbued all her fantastic work and achievements for the Coolock and Northside communities. Her inspiring leadership of Northside Centre for the Unemployed and Glin National College was a critical help to so many of our people and will always be remembered. Not only was she a joy to deal with but she was also a great personal friend as well . Through her leadership & skills she was very much the driving force in building up the NCU over past 25 years.
